Arab Art Exposition Opened in National Gallery

Within the framework of Days of Culture of Kuwait, currently being held in Armenia, an exposition of contemporary Arab art was opened in the National Gallery of Armenia. It’s the first time the Days of Culture of Kuwait are being held in Armenia.

The exposition entails pictorial works, samples of Arab calligraphy as well as images depicting modern Kuwait including ancient huts and huge skyscrapers.

“Culture unites different nations, and the three-year program signed between the two countries allows building the bridge that will unite them,” said Hasmik Poghosyan, the Culture Minister of Armenia.

Hasmik Poghosyan noted that within the agreement signed in 2011 Days of Armenian Culture were held in Kuwait, and in return Days of Culture of Kuwait are held in Armenia.

Notably, at the opening of the exposition Kuwait ensemble performed national songs.

Kuwait Culture Days are held between February 3-10 and are organized within the framework of an agreement on the cooperation in the sphere of the culture between the two countries.
