Car rental in Yerevan is never a hard task because despite its small territory compared with large cities there are over 10 car rental companies operating in Yerevan, out of which at least five represent branches of world known car rental companies. If comfort is not a priority for you and you would do with traveling by bus or subway, then renting a car is not a good idea to explore a foreign city and surrounding. Europcar is a good option for people who would like to refrain from taking the lease or long-term contract obligation, are waiting for their new car or would like to have a car at their disposal during their long-term stay. The company offers a 24-hour assistance service and insurance cover against breakage and robbery. Note that the rates include unlimited mileage and liability and casco insurances against breakage and robbery (CDR&TP;). While signing a contract both you and the second driver should be named. The second driver monthly rate makes up 10 Euros per month. The cars can be hired with a skilled chauffeur. The rented car will be delivered to you with full tank of petrol. Upon returning the car the car should be returned as initially given to you. For the missing fuel you will be charged the corresponding price. The company has a loyalty program according to which you will enjoy a number of privileges like express pick-up service, 10 percent discount despite the type of car and the place you rent it and so on. To join Privilege form Europcar you should complete “My Europcar profile,” after which you will get an E-mail back with further instructions. The membership is free. Upon request you can get the following extra accessories: snow equipment, child seat (make the reservation beforehand; the child seat will cost you 15 Euros per day and 100 Euros at most per month) and a navigation system (it will cost you 15 Euros per day).

Caravan or Car and Van Rent Company offers cars which can be driven only in the Republic of Armenia and the Nagorno Karabakh Republic. The one day price of the cars, which can be rented with or without a driver, start at 21,900 Dram. The cars come with left rudder control and car audio system. All cars use liquid fuel. If you are planning to rent a car with this company, then make sure you do it in advance. You can rent a car via the website, fax or phone call. No prepayment is required. To rent a car you should be at least 22 years of age and have at least a two year’s driving experience. You will be obliged to follow all traffic rules. If you get fines for infringements, then you will have to bear responsibility for them. The company’s office is open from Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 7 pm and is closed on sundays and holidays. If the pick-up and the return of the car are realized at the office, then you won’t have to pay anything. But you will be obliged to pay extra amounts for all pick up and returns realized at the airport (9000 Dram), at a mentioned address (5000 Dram), out of Yerevan (500 Dram per km) or on non-working days and hours (4000 AMD). Upon returning the car, it should be as clean and faultless and with a full tank of fuel, as it was at the time of delivering; if it’s not clean, you will have to pay 3000 Dram, if it’s not returned with a full tank of fuel, you will be charged 600 Dram for each missing liter of fuel, ad to the technical damages, you will have to fully compensate the damages. The company also offers additional services like baby car seat and navigation system. Each will cost you 4000 Dram per day (if you hire them for over five days, then you will have to pay 20,000 Dram regardless of the number of days). Driver’s service is also available and it will cost you 9000 Dram per day.
